ProfessorJohn Ioannidis' team from Stanford University in the United States recentlyreleased the 7th edition of the 2024 Global Top 2% Scientists in VariousDisciplines list on the Elsevier Publishing Group website. By calculating thenumber of papers published by each scientist and their citation count, andusing six indicators to model a comprehensive score, 217098 scientists wereselected, roughly covering the top 2% of scientists in various disciplines.10687 scientists from Chinese Mainland were selected, accounting for 4.92%. Ourschool has 16 scholars selected for the annual list and 8 scholars selected forthe lifetime list.

Scholars selected for the annual list include: Wan Shuping, Yin Xuebo, Zhou Nanrun, GongLihua, An Wei, Zhang Min, Zhang Hengyun, Sheng Xiaozhen, Lu Qinghua, WangYansong, Wang Jinguo, Yang Jin, Zhang Yujin, Zhang Peilei, Liu Xintian, andShan Hongli.
