From November 25 to 26, 2021, the first International Forum on vehicle lidar standards and Technology (icstvl-2021) was held in Shanghai. A total of 61 units from domestic and foreign radar manufacturers, autonomous vehicle enterprises, device manufacturers, testing and certification institutions, industry associations, universities and scientific research institutions attended the meeting.

The forum was hosted by Shanghai University of engineering and technology and co organized by Bureau Veritas international inspection group. The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Ling Ming of the college.

Ye Shengji, the chief engineer and Deputy Secretary General of China Automobile Industry Association, made a speech at the opening ceremony. At the same time, new lidar technology venture capital enterprises continue to hatch, and new and old technology leading enterprises compete to enter the track. In 2021, SAIC, FAW, Dongfeng, Chang'an, GAC, Geely, great wall, Weilai, Xiaopeng, ideal and BAIC new energy and other typical vehicle enterprises have begun to configure lidar. The on-board lidar industry has ushered in a period of rapid industrialization, and the intelligent development of automotive products will become the mainstream trend. In order to comply with this trend. The forum was held.

Thirty industry experts gave wonderful technical reports. The participating experts had in-depth exchanges and discussions on the hot issues of lidar, such as technology and development trend, standards and certification, radar testing technology and equipment, EMC and human eye safety. Seven senior industry leaders and experts participated in the round table meeting and answered the urgent problems of the industry, such as standard system, industry organization, testing and certification, vehicle regulation and mass production, etc.

President Fang Zhijun of the college delivered a speech at the closing ceremony, congratulated the smooth convening of the forum, and looked forward to the standard of on-board lidar detection methods to provide important support for the R & D direction of automotive intelligence.
