This program is oriented at industrial demands, which outlooks the NGB (Next Generation Broadcasting Network) industry. It is mainly founded on the NGB technological system and structure, stressing on the interdisciplinary feature of broadcasting, computer network and digital media as a response to the demand of new industries, as supported by the theory platform of NGB core technology. This program also strengthen the transfer ofbasic knowledge as well as knowledge expertise, including broadcasting network,information communication, computer network, and NGB network technology, 3Tnettechnology, NGB media supporting platform technology, access networkdevelopment technology. This program adopts the “3+1”development model, 3-yeartheoretical teaching and 1-year practical teaching. Most practical teachingsare conducted in broadband center and relevant practice base. Through thistalent development model, which can be termed as “Theory, Technology,Application”, students will be competent in NGB network operation and maintenance, NGB network equipment development oriented at the fusion application of three networks, interactive media and value-added business platform development and access network development, etc. This program is intended todevelop advanced applied engineering technical talents with innovative spiritand well-founded theoretical knowledge and practical capabilities.
