On the afternoon of August 9th, the transportation building of the college welcomed a group of special "guests", who were excellent students from Wenchuan, Pingwu, and Hanwang in Sichuan. The college, Jun'ai Public Welfare Development Service Center, and Xiaoxi Public Welfare jointly built a wonderful "journey of artificial intelligence technology" for them. Under the leadership of Vice Dean Zhao Xiaoli and college teachers, the students learned about the latest artificial intelligence technology in the college, which sparked a stronger interest in science and broadened their horizons.

Firstly, Vice Dean Zhao Xiaoli warmly welcomed students from excellent primary and secondary schools in Wenchuan, Sichuan and other places, and introduced the historical evolution and distinctive disciplines of our school. She mentioned that our university is the first 5G university in China and has been committed to cultivating high-quality engineering applied talents with innovative spirit and practical ability. In recent years, the college has actively explored the integration of science and education, and has an excellent team of talented teachers and advanced experimental equipment. We hope that students can make this trip worthwhile and gain something in the upcoming science popularization lectures and laboratory visits.

Subsequently, Professor Hu Lingyan gave students a lively science popularization lecture, covering the concepts and applications of robots, the working principles of robots, artificial intelligence applications, and laboratory research cases. Professor Hu's experience and insights presented students with a brand new world of robots, giving them a clearer understanding of the breadth and depth of technology.

After the lecture, the students walked into the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of the college. Teachers such as Huang Bo and Zhang Zhenhua, as well as volunteers, introduced the research achievements of the college in the field of artificial intelligence, allowing students to get up close to the latest artificial intelligence technology, understand the use of large-scale knowledge graphs to provide intelligent knowledge management and reasoning services, and visit emerging equipment in the laboratory to personally experience the charm of artificial intelligence technology.

Finally, in the robotics laboratory, Professor Hu Lingyan led his classmates to explore the latest technological achievements in the field of robotics, such as biomimetic dogs, intelligent cars, and robotic arms, and learned that these machines can navigate and locate targets, implement tracking, and have strong practical value in firefighting, inspection, and medical fields.

Through this science popularization activity, children will be exposed to the latest artificial intelligence technology, understand its application areas and impact. They walked into the college laboratory and experienced firsthand the practical operation of cutting-edge technologies such as intelligent robots and deep learning algorithms, which stimulated their interest and enthusiasm for technological innovation, inspiring them to embark on a dream journey and make their own contributions to the reconstruction of a beautiful home and national development in the future.
