On the afternoon of June 8, 2023, the Department of Computer Science of the college held an undergraduate teacher-student symposium for the second semester of the 2022-2023 academic year to listen to students’ feedback and demands and implement the student-centered engineering education certification training concept. Attendees included Mr. Yu Lei, deputy director of the department, as well as class committee members and student representatives from all grades majoring in computer science and big data.

During this symposium, students put forward many practical suggestions on the curriculum, teaching content, teaching links, teaching facilities, etc. of this major. For example, senior students are more concerned about internship courses and have consulted about the teaching methods and content of professional internship courses, as well as whether the course arrangement can free up enough time for internships; while students in lower grades are more interested in competitions and have consulted The relevant competition events, entry requirements, etc. Regarding the existing problems, teachers from the computer department answered the students one by one, actively listened to and recorded the students' suggestions, and made continuous improvements in the subsequent teaching process. The teacher-student symposium provides a platform for information exchange. By enhancing communication between teachers and students, we can implement and improve the quality of teaching and the cultivation of students' abilities.
